Todd P. Coulston

A dedicated, well-prepared, and compassionate advocate, Mr. Coulston provides the highest level of professional service for his clients in family law matters. Mr. Coulston has decided to focus his practice exclusively in the area of family law because he believes the extremely personal and emotional issues involved in family law matters provide him with the best opportunity to have a significant and positive impact for his clients. Mr. Coulston works individually with each client to develop and implement a case plan that best serves their needs and goals. Although Mr. Coulston strives to resolve all matters through the settlement process, he understands that some issues will not be resolved short of litigation. As a 2003 graduate of the American Bar Association Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute, Mr. Coulston is a skilled and experienced courtroom litigator who provides vigorous representation for his clients should litigation be required. Mr. Coulston is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, and the Family Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association.

A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Mr. Coulston attended the University of California at Irvine, where he competed for the cross country and track teams, earning All-Big West Conference honors in cross country in 1993 and 1994. He earned is B.A. degree from U.C. Irvine in 1994 and his J.D. degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law in 1999. Since successfully passing the California State Bar Exam in 1999, Mr. Coulston has practiced exclusively in the area of family law. After practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area for several years, Mr. Coulston and his family returned to Orange County in 2002. An avid runner with a personal best time in the marathon of 2 hours, 45 minutes, and huge San Francisco 49er fan, Mr. Coulston is married and has three young sons.
