Dara R. Fairchild is an associate attorney at Burch, Coulston & Shepard. She practices exclusively in the area of family law. She feels passionate about helping people through what is often the most difficult time in a person’s life.
Ms. Fairchild earned her Juris Doctor from the Whittier College School of Law. While at Whittier School of Law, Ms. Fairchild was involved in the Whittier School of Law Center for Children’s Rights and also the Whittier School of Law Special Education Clinic where she represented low-income families at a variety of hearings including conservatorships, custody, IEP sessions, and dispute resolution hearings. Ms. Fairchild gained broad knowledge of family law from these experiences.
During law school, Ms. Fairchild also worked as a law clerk for a family law firm in Orange County, where she worked for 2 ½ years. As a law clerk, Ms. Fairchild prepared entire cases from beginning to end for a variety of hearings, including but not limited to, dissolution and custody proceedings.
Ms. Fairchild has also practiced in complex civil litigation matters, where she gained invaluable experience taking depositions and drafting complex motions. Prior to law school, Ms. Fairchild worked as a paralegal and Case Manager to some of Orange County’s most esteemed Mediators and Arbitrators.
Ms. Fairchild is admitted to practice in California and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. She is also an active member of the Orange County Bar Association.
